Day 1 Meet in the Capital Podgorica. |
We’ll meet in Podgorica the capitol of Montenegro early in the morning. From there we’ll set off on a short ride to Skadar Lake. By the shores of this bucolic lake we’ll drink in tranquility with our coffee. Back in Podgorica we’ll settle in to our hotel. After dinner, we’ll walk the streets of this the largest city in Montenegro whose pedestrian mall comes alive at night with strollers and shoppers.

Day 2 Muraca to ski town of Kolasin. |
We’ll climb into our self-driven 4x4 all-terrain vehicles for a ride through the dramatic landscapes of the Muraca Canyon. One could write volumes about the Biogradska Nature Reserve describing its charming walking trails, its hypnotic turquoise lakes and its thick forests. This is the oldest and one of the loveliest nature reserves in Europe. We’ll drive to the ski town of Kolasin, where we’ll settle in at a luxurious hotel.

Day 3 A day of adventures. |
Our jeeps will take us out of Kolasin to the Tara River Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world and a window into nature’s glories. Naturally, we wouldn’t miss the canyon’s most popular attraction: Rafting gives us a chance to see the canyon from another angle to watch the fish jumping in the pristine waters whilst we pass under immense cliffs and being sprayed by the water bursting from between the rock walls. Strenuous physical activity makes you hungry – and that’s how we’ll arrive at the house of a local host ready for an authentic taste of Montenegro. After lunch, we’ll continue to the Sinyavina Range which is at an elevation of 2,000 meters and provides a fabulous overlook of the Tara River. All throughout the range we’ll glimpse the lovely little summer cottages that make this area so picturesque. We’ll return for an excellent night’s sleep at our lovely hotel in Kolasin.

Day 4 Mountain highs to the sea shores. |
On our way back to Podgorica we’ll ride off-road above the Muraca Canyon and have a hard time parting from the magnificent vistas. From one of the Odeas we’ll drive down to the main road that is parallel to the Adriatic Shore this track bears the remnants of years of Italian rule. After settling into our hotel we’ll spend the evening in the Old City of Budva, wandering the alleys and visiting Catholic and Orthodox churches.

Day 5 High adrenaline in Kotor. |
We’ll visit the port city of Kotor declared a world heritage site by the UN. A walk through the streets of its Old City will take us back to the Middle Ages. We’ll experience the exhilaration of rafting on the Kotor fjord. Hungry and pumped with adrenaline we'll have lunch at a fish restaurant on the beach. In the afternoon we'll return to the hotel at Budva and enjoy a relaxed afternoon at the promenade and seashore. At around evening time, we'll meet up and go to a farewell dinner at the lively port.
