The Georgians will invite you into their homes to share the bounty of their fields and vinyards. After a somewhat turbulent few years of transition the Georgia of today is a safe and peaceful country that is well worth a visit.  Travelling by SUV you will gain access to the countries wild nature and manmade wonders. Amongst these you will discover breathtaking mountain peaks, crystal clear lakes, verdant valleys, and ancient castles to name but a few hotspots. Day 1 - Landscapes painted by the hands of gods.


We’ll meet in Tbilisi early in the morning, the capitol of Georgia, and drive ourselves in all-road, 4x4 vehicles to the hidden treasures of this amazing country.  Through evergreen forests and emerald landscapes, we’ll travel to tiny villages whose inhabitants, subsistence farmers, will reveal to us the charming character of the Georgian people. After crossing an impressive mountain pass we’ll get our first taste of Georgian food, on rustic plates piled high with local delicacies.  After eating our fill, we’ll take a short drive to our 4/5-star hotel in Telavi.

Day 2 - Friendship Balcony - Gudauri ski town.

Start the day with a visit to the church of Alaverdi, set against the lofty background of the Caucasus Mountains this church is one of the oldest and most significant in this area.  Next we are treated to a local bakery experience and see how the delicious traditional loaves are made, alongside this we will walk and have a history and lifestyle tour of this perticular region.  We drive off-road to reach the magnificent Lake Zinvalis and take a stroll around its blue waters.  Friendship Balocny is the next stop as we learn of its past and why this huge monument was erected by the Russians. More off-road ensues and we drive alongside the River Aragvi until we reach the picturesque ski resort town of Guauri, This wil be our residence for the night in a 4-5* hotel.

Day 3 - Down military paths and into the wilderness.

We’ll drive up to the Darial Mountain Pass, through tunnels until we reach the “orange hillside” and a natural spring flowing with carbonated water.  Next stop we reach the village of Stepan Tsminda, located at the foot of Mount Kazbegi. A ride over open terrain will bring us to the Holy Trinity Church.  Then on to lunch at the home of a friendly native of the Caucasus before continuing on to the Divalli Iceberg and end the day at our hotel in Gudauri.

Day 4 - The Statuesque Caucasus Mountain Range.

We’ll start our day with a last look at the Caucasus Mountain Range. Then we’ll drive to the Ananuri Church above Lake Zinvalis. We’ll return to Tbilisi, the nation’s capitol. After dining at a restaurant, we’ll set out to explore the city and its attractions with lots of sightseeing.  We’ll conclude our day with a festive meal and joyous folklore performance.

Day 5 - The end of our adventure.

This final day of our odyssey will be spent understanding the history of Georgia. From the Dzvari Church we’ll get an impression of Mtskheta, the first capitol of Georgia. At the confluence of the Aragvi and Mt'k'vari Rivers, we’ll hear about the flowering of Christianity in Georgia. Drunk on the liquor of landscapes and sated with glorious local food, we’ll say our farewells to Georgia and head for the airport.
